 Artie Barksdale has painted murals for over 15 years. He has created public and private murals in numerous location in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina. Artie is known for using lots and lots of vibrant colors with realistic concepts.
Most of his public and private works are done solo and can be seen in the downtown Durham area. His inpiration comes from involving the community to help execute large scale murals. Artie has painted murals for the Mayflower Seafood Restaurant, Curves, Manchester's Grill, Wal-Mart and several mega churches in the Research Triangle Park area. He attended the North Carolina School of the Arts, located in Winston-Salem, NC, where he studied theatrical scenic painting.
